What is an Academic Journal?

Journals containing academic articles, often reporting results of research studies.

Each journal is normally on one subject such as: history, literature, sociology, etc.

Authors are usually professors, scholars or similar experts.

Some academic journals are also peer reviewed.

Databases and Citation Styles

Some library databases, such as those from EBSCO and ProQuest, allow you to get bibliographic information in selected citation styles, such as APA or MLA, when emailing and saving records.
