ENE 520, Professor Kinner, Fall 2015 (UNH Durham): Get Started

Tips on information search strategies for your research.

Welcome!

Your ability to find and evaluate all sorts of information effectively is a vital professional and personal asset that develops over a lifetime.   This guide will help build on your knowledge and skills to find information for this class and point you toward strategies for information-seeking beyond it.

For assistance, my contact info is on this page.  I have an open-door policy, so you can stop by, email a question, or make an appointment to discuss your research in depth. Staff at any of the Engineering & Physical Sciences Libraries or Dimond can also help you -- and the UNH Library website is available 24/7.

To use this guide, see the tabs for specific types of resources.

Off-Campus Access to UNH Library Resources

Most online UNH Library resources are accessible only by UNH students, faculty, staff, and on-campus visitors.  This is because access is purchased by the library and the license is for "UNH only."  This means both UNH-Durham and UNHM.

UNH students, faculty, and staff can access UNH-only resources from off-campus. When you use any part of the UNH Library website, clicking on an online resource link should open a log-in box. Use your UNH IT ID (same as Blackboard/MyCourses).  Another option is to install UNH VPN with the all_traffic configuration to access library resources.
