Access to UNH Library Resources

Access Note:  This guide includes online resources that are free or paid.  Paid (subscription) resources are labeled "UNH only."  Most UNH-only resources are available to UNH and the public on campus in Durham and Manchester.  Off-campus access is restricted to the UNH community (faculty, staff, current students).

Off-campus:  UNH community members may access paid resources from off-campus via UNH VPN or by putting in credentials when prompted.  If you connect to UNH VPN with the "all_traffic" configuration, you may use the resources in this guide directly.  If you are not on VPN, you must go through the UNH Library pages to access the resource, and when you click on a "UNH only" link, you'll be prompted for your UNH IT ID.

Other Guides to CS Information

Many more sources of computer science information can be found at this web guide by Michael Knee. His book, shown below, goes into even more detail on sources of computer science information and includes a description of each source.

About the Library

The Engineering, Math & Computer Science Library, also called the Engr/Math or EMCS Library, is the home for most Computer Science print materials and reference assistance at UNH.  See the tabs above for resources to help you find books and articles.  Please ask the staff and librarians if you would like help with any questions as you look for information and use library resources at UNH.

This guide was originally written by Christin Chenard, MLIS graduate student at the University of Rhode Island.

Some of the best material on this guide was located thanks to the efforts of Michael Knee.  His book, Computer Science and Computing: A Guide to the Literature, and his online guide were very helpful in the creation of this guide.
