Accessing Library Resources

Current UNH students, faculty, and staff may access most library resources, including databases, from off campus:

  1. Navigate to the resource you want on the UNH Library website.
  2. You will then be asked for your UNH IT ID username and password.
  3. Once verified, you will be forwarded on to your resource directly.

Once you have logged in, you can access databases and other electronic resources available through the library web site.

For questions about remote access to library resources, please contact us using the Ask a Librarian link above.

Databases for Starting Out

Recommended databases to start with:

Finding Books at UNH

This is a keyword search of titles, authors, subjects, and content notes.  Results are ranked by relevance and date and can be refined.

Search the Library Catalog:

More Search Options

Allows more focused searching by book/journal title, author, subject, keyword etc.  Results can also be more easily limited to type of material, where the material is located, etc.

Below are examples of SUBJECT Headings used in the UNH catalog

Nursing--Law and legislation

Psychiatric nursing

Nursing services administration

Community health nursing
