Using tools to collect and organize your references, find duplicates, and facilitate screening can help you save time and work more effectively with your team. Below are some recommendations for tools to use for your review. UNH does not have institutional subscriptions to any of the below tools. Teams must purchase their own subscriptions.

Citation management tools such as Zotero and Mendeley Free

No cost tools to help manage references, find duplicates, and conduct title/abstract and full-text screening. This tool requires a more hands-on, manual approach to screening. Critical appraisal and data extraction must be conducted separately.

Covidence Starts at $289 a year for a single review Imports references and automatically removes duplicate results. Facilitates screening, critical appraisal, and data extraction for the review team. Generates a PRISMA flow diagram with exclusion reasons. Does not include option to pilot test screening.

Starts at $8.33 a month for Professional tier

 

Import references, facilitates finding duplicate results and screening. Also includes a mobile app. Some users experience challenges with full-text screening and bugs.

Facilitates project management, building a protocol, importing references, study screening, critical appraisal, and data extraction. All collaborators must have a JBI account in order to use the tool.
