Genealogy Collection

The Genealogy Collection of books on Level 1 of the UNH Library (Dimond) focuses on New Hampshire and New England family research .

Highlights of the Collection Include:

  • Published family histories
  • French Canadian genealogy resources
  • New England heritage and history books
  • Mayflower families and the Great Migration
  • Military publications such as Maine Revolutionary War Soldiers
  • Access to Federal Census Records (1790-1940)
  • General Genealogy guides

Resources from the Genealogy Collection do not circulate and can only be used in the library, but there are scanners and photocopiers on the library's main level (Level 3).

The popular web service has over 13 billion searchable names and 6 billion viewable images of historical genealogical records—and you get the helpful assistance of knowledgeable, in-person librarians.
