UNH Student Basic Needs Support
We all face unanticipated challenges during our lives. Sometimes these challenges for students include fundamental issues of food insecurity, housing and other financial concerns. UNH has a variety of supports both on campus and in our community to provide support during difficult times.

Basics Need Office: Memorial Union Building, Room 236

UNH Cats' Cupboard, located in the MUB, helps alleviate food insecurity for the UNH community in need by providing supplemental, direct access to free, nourishing food.

STUDENT EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FUND
The Student Emergency Financial Assistance provides UNH undergraduate and graduate students who are unable to meet essential expenses due to a temporary or unexpected hardship with short-term financial assistance up to $500.
Cornucopia Food Pantry (Durham)
The Cornucopia Food Pantry is located at 15 Mill Road in Durham, NH, inside The Waysmeet Center on the UNH campus.

UNH Basic Needs Initiative Committee: Financial Wellness Subcommittee

The Financial Wellness Subcommittee is a collaborative effort through several departments including the Basic Needs Support, Division of Student Life, Health and Wellness, Institute for Student Success, Institute on Disability, Sustainability Institute, and UNH Library.

We know there are a lot of costs to attending college beyond tuition, such as housing, basic food and hygiene needs, textbooks, transportation and more. Additionally, the financial aid process is detailed and complicated, especially student loans. We aim to demystify the finances of the college experience and aid students in building the skills necessary for life-long financial success.
