Citation styles often vary by discipline. Since Geography is multidisciplinary, the citation style you are asked to use may vary by course or focus. Using a citation management software such as Zotero or ZoteroBib can help you switch more easily between styles; more information is below.
This page also includes resources for two widely used styles: Chicago and APA (American Psychological Association). The Annals of the American Association of Geographers now uses Chicago style B (in-text Author-Date citation and a reference list).
