Self-guided education: This category includes resources such as webinars, workshops, courses, podcasts, guides and tools that are designed to help you learn more about mentoring and become a better mentor and/or a mentee.
Trainings & Platforms: These include formal trainings provided by organizations or individuals who specialize in mentoring. These are usually paid resources, or they may be provided through an institutional subscription so make sure you check whether your institution is a member.
Institutional examples: These resources are a showcase of how different institutions are addressing the topic of mentorship.
Reports & Articles: These are comprehensive documents that address mentoring from multiple perspectives, from theory to application, and a rationale for why good mentoring is important.
Inclusive Research Mentor/People Manager Training- provides the organizational management and evidence-based pedagogical theory on how to effectively supervise, train and advise researchers from diverse backgrounds, and how to do so inclusively while managing the inevitable role conflict between these three sets of responsibilities and power differentials.
Peer Mentoring Program, U of Colorado Boulder- Providing support, guidance and connection. Peer mentors serve as graduate student life experts and they may have suggestions about work-life balance, advisor/advisee relationships, etc.
