This guide provides information about the Milne Special Collections and Archives at the University of New Hampshire.
Here, you can learn about:
The Milne Special Collections and Archives supports the teaching and research mission of the University of New Hampshire through acquiring, preserving, and providing access to permanently valuable research materials, particularly those related to the Granite State and the University.
The University Archives collects records that document the history of the University of New Hampshire, its programs, its research-based mission, and the members of its community. It is the final repository destination for all university records of historic, administrative, and research value.
Special Collections holds archival collections and published materials related to a broad range of subjects outside of the history of the university, including materials documenting state and regional history. Subject areas include family papers, traditional music and dance, traditional jazz, angling, 20th-century New England poetry, New Hampshire environmental history and activism, and New Hampshire political papers.
Both the University Archives and Special Collections hold manuscript collections.
We welcome students, faculty and staff, community members, outside researchers, and members of the public to use our collections and services.
