Intellectual property are intangible products of creative effort. Examples include: technical information, inventions, software, databases, designs, models, methods, and literary works. Like tangible real or personal property, intellectual property may be bought, sold, or leased. Intellectual assets is a collective term for intellectual property, intellectual property rights, and know-how. Intellectual property asset management (IAM) supports the University of New Hampshire's (UNH) mission of education, research, and outreach. UNH values its intellectual property assets as a way to increase investments in sustainable research capacity.
