UNH Library Event Policy

The UNH Library welcomes applications to host, partner or sponsor (see below) academic events in Library spaces that are supported through university departments and connected to the University's strategic priorities and the library's mission, including supporting the teaching, research, scholarship, and wellness of the UNH community.

  • Host: Library space is used, but the event is not a library event.

  • Sponsor/Co-Sponsor:Library bears some or all responsibility for the event and contributes financially to the event.

  • Partner: Library works together with campus colleagues and/or student group(s) to deliver a program/event through a united partnership with shared planning, implementation, and financial commitment.

UNH-affiliated individuals, groups and departments can request that the library host, partner, or sponsor events in library spaces. Each request will be reviewed by the Assistant Dean. If approved, (after consultation with stakeholders), the Assistant Dean will contact the requestor to share the decision and formalize the agreement. Space is assigned based on availability, timing, resources required, and the nature of the event. Requests for specific spaces will be considered but are not guaranteed.

The Library's Assistant Dean is responsible for monitoring and updating this policy as needed. Questions about this policy can be sent to ask@unh.libanswers.com.
