Branch Libraries After Hours Access

The Engineering and Physical Sciences (E&PS) branch libraries ( Kingsbury and DeMeritt) are committed to providing access to as many resources as possible to assist library patrons with their research needs. This policy is designed to provide equitable access while ensuring the safety and security of library users and resources.  While expertise is available through consultation with subject specialist librarians and library staff and most resources are available online, we recognize some patrons may need to access physical materials outside regular library hours.

  • After hours access is available to current faculty, post docs, research staff and graduate students in the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences by completing the Access Request Form and sending to UNH.Library.DeansOffice@unh.edu
  • Access privileges pertain only to the branch library that supports the requestor's discipline.

  • Library materials may not be removed and must be used within the library only.

  • Access is only approved for the individual applying and they may not let anyone else into the library.

  • A user’s University ID may be requested to be seen at closing to be allowed to remain in the space. Please note that UNH ID cards are not transferrable, and any loss should be immediately reported to the ID Office.

  • Users must adhere to UNH conduct standards at all times, including all library policies and the library’s Community Standards statement. Abuse of this privilege could result in access being revoked.

The Library's Assistant Dean is responsible for monitoring and updating this policy as needed. Questions about this policy can be sent to ask@unh.libanswers.com.
