Engaging with UNH Library Social Media Accounts
The UNH Library encourages our community to engage with us on social media, following established acceptable use policies of the host platform, UNH's Social Media Guidelines and the behavioral guidelines set forth in our Library Community Standards document. We ask that users keep postings and comments appropriate for all audiences. The UNH Library reserves the right to remove any content deemed, in its sole view, to be inappropriate. That includes posts that contain:
Obscene content or hate speech
Personal attacks, insults, or threatening language
Requests for personal information,
Potentially libelous statements,
Plagiarized material
Private or personal information, including phone numbers and addresses
Commercial, political, or religious messages unrelated to the library or its social media postings
Solicitation of funds.
The library also reserves the right to ban or block users who violate this policy. The library is not responsible for the content posted by others on its social media platforms. Comments expressed on any social media platform are the opinions of those posting and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions of the UNH library or UNH, its officers, or its employees. Social media users should exercise their own judgment about the quality and accuracy of any information presented through social media.
Providing Feedback on Library Content
Individuals who have concerns or other feedback about content posted on UNH Library social media should reach out to the Dean of the UNH Library, who will consult with the Associate Dean of the University Library, the creator of the content, and the lead of the library’s Communication and Outreach Program to determine and execute the appropriate course of action. The response will be determined by the specific concern and may include no change, the adjustment of content, or the removal of the post.
The Library's Communication Manager is responsible for monitoring and updating this policy as needed. Questions about this policy can be sent to ask@unh.libanswers.com.
